Parametric Study Builder - Options tab

The analysis options specific to the parametric study are specified in the Options tab.

The options available for the Parametric Study Builder are outlined below.

Keep result files
The results for each run can be saved. Individual studies of interest can then be selected from the Results Comparison Explorer for further analysis. If there are a large number of runs in the parametric study, this can result in a large amount of data being saved.
With this option deselected, any run requiring further investigation will need to be re-run with the variable combination used to generate those results.
This option is not selected by default.
Save results in a CSV file
A CSV file is a spreadsheet compatible file format. This file is a summary of the of the parametric study and outlines the combination of variables were used in a particular run, and the results that combination generated. This information is also presented by the Result Comparison Explorer result.
This option is selected by default. The saved file is typically found at C:\Users\username\My Documents\My ASMI xxxx Projects\project name where xxxx is the version of ASMI being used and username and project name are variable designations.
Maximum number of relaunch
If an external problem such as a power surge prematurely ends the analysis, the experiment will be automatically relaunched up to the number of times specified in this option. An experiment can fail for other reasons, such as a poor mesh or processing parameters that cannot manufacture the part, and so specifying a large number should be avoided.
Important: Ensure a green tick appears in all of the tabs of the Study Builder. Without these green ticks, the analysis will not launch. Open any tab that has a red cross and complete the minimum information requirements. The analysis can then be launched.
