The General tab of the Preferences dialog box contains the following options:
Launch on system startup: (Enabled by default.) This causes the Simulation Job Manager to automatically start when the local workstation is started. It is good practice to leave this option enabled to automatically resume the transfer of simulation results (without having to start an Autodesk® product) if the local workstation is restarted.
Show tasks: (Disabled by default.) Enable this to display details of the specific actions performed during each stage of the job. (Stages are Upload, Solve, and Download, and are described in the Job Status Tab topic.)
Number of days to show finished jobs: (Default = 7.) Jobs launched within this time period are listed in the Job Status tab. Change this value to show more or fewer jobs by increasing or decreasing the time period, respectively.
Number of seconds to show a notification: This is the amount of time the Notification message window appears on the screen. You can use this parameter to increase or reduce the appearance time of the Notification message.
Number of seconds to delay file transfer at startup: When Simulation Job Manager is automatically started during a Windows® startup, network errors may occur if a file transfer immediately resumes. This is often due to a delay in the initialization of the relevant network drivers and connections controlled by Windows®.
Use this value to avoid these network errors by delaying when the Simulation Job Manager starts the data transfer after it is first started.
