Arc by Points tool

The Arc by Points tool allows you to create curves when you are in the process of creating a new model or adding to an existing model. Arc By Points (Geometry tab > Create panel > Curves > Arc By Points)

The Arc by Points command is used to create an arc or circle, using three coordinates that you specify. Radio buttons on the panel give you the option to create an arc or a circle.

Dialog elements

Coordinate 1
Specify the first of three coordinates that will define the arc or circle you wish to create.

Either click directly on the model, or type the coordinate position in the dialog input box (e.g.: 5 10 15).

Coordinate 2
Specify the second of three coordinates that will define the arc or circle you wish to create.

Either click directly on the model, or type the coordinate position in the dialog input box (e.g.: 5 10 15).

Coordinate 3
Specify the third of three coordinates that will define the arc or circle you wish to create.

Either click directly on the model, or type the coordinate position in the dialog input box (e.g.: 5 10 15).

Automatically create nodes at end points of curve
Select the check box to ensure that a node is created at each end of the curve, after the specified curve is created.
Arc or Circle
Allows you to choose whether the new curve will be an arc or a circle.
