About Thermal Properties for Energy Analysis

When preparing a Revit model for energy analysis, you can define thermal properties for the materials and elements included in the simulation.

For all materials except glass, energy analysis uses only the following thermal properties from the Revit model.

Thermal property Where is this property defined?
Thickness Defined for each layer in the Edit Assembly dialog for the element type
Thermal Conductivity Defined on the Thermal tab of the Material Browser for the selected material
Specific Heat Defined on the Thermal tab of the Material Browser for the selected material
Density Defined on the Thermal tab of the Material Browser for the selected material

For windows and curtain wall panels, use the Type Properties dialog to define analysis properties as follows:
