Define the support conditions of a structural element.
- Identify the structural objects to which you want to add boundary conditions.
- Open a 3D view to see the analytical model.
- Click Analyze tab

Boundary Conditions. Note: Before you place a boundary condition type, you must load the boundary condition families into the project (for more information, see
Load and Save Families). Also, verify that the boundary condition family types are assigned in the Structural Settings menu (for more information, see
Boundary Conditions Settings).
- Click one of the following from the Place Boundary Conditions tab
Boundary Conditions panel:
- On the Options bar, select either Fixed, Pinned, Roller, or User from the State drop-down
- In the drawing area, click the structural element to which you want to add the boundary condition.
Note: The end of the analytical line will highlight when you have correctly placed your cursor over it.
