On the ViewCube tab of the Options dialog, specify options for the ViewCube navigation tool.

Show the ViewCube | Show or hide the ViewCube in 3D views. |
Show in | Specify which views to show the ViewCube. |
On-screen position | Specify the position of the ViewCube in the drawing area. |
ViewCube size | Specify the size of the ViewCube. |
Inactive opacity | Specify the opacity of the ViewCube when not in use. If you select 0%, the ViewCube will not display in the drawing area unless you move the cursor over the ViewCube on-screen position. |
When Dragging the ViewCube | |
Snap to closest view | When selected, snaps to the closest ViewCube view orientation. A ViewCube view orientation is one of the 26 view options (a face, edge, or corner of the ViewCube). |
When Clicking on the ViewCube | |
Fit-to-view on view change | If you have an element or component selected in the drawing area and click on the ViewCube, the view rotates accordingly and the view zooms to fit the element in the drawing area. |
Use animated transition when switching views | Shows an animated action when you switch view orientation. |
Keep scene upright | Keeps the sides of the ViewCube, and the view, perpendicular to the ground plane. If you deselect this option, you can orbit the model in full 360 degree motion, which may be useful when you are editing a family. See Use the Orbit tool. |

Show the compass with the ViewCube | Shows or hides the ViewCube compass. |
