Revit exports the building geometry relative to the shared coordinate system of the civil engineering application.
On the Site tab of the Building Site Export dialog, review the following building site coordinates to be exported.
- Current Position. Displays the name of the building position to be exported, if there is more than one building position on the site. To change the position to be exported:
- Click Manage Position.
- Select the desired position from the list.
- Click Make Current.
- Click OK.
See Defining Named Positions for more information about managed positions.
- Survey Point. Displays the survey point coordinates to be exported and indicates whether the survey point is clipped. These coordinates should be the coordinates that you received from the civil engineer. They correctly orient the building geometry in the coordinate system of the civil engineering application.
To change the survey point coordinates, enter the values in the appropriate fields. Alternatively, drag the unclipped survey point in the project drawing and use the Specify Coordinates at a Point tool. See Relocating and Mirroring a Project and Project Base Points and Survey Points.
- Angle from Project North to True North. Displays the angle between Project North and True North. Changing the angle rotates the shared coordinate system around the survey point. See Rotating a View to True North.
