Propagate 2D Datum Extents

After modifying a 2D datum to the desired extent, you can choose to have the datum look the same in similar views.

You can use Propagate Extents to accomplish this.

To propagate 2D datum extents

1. Select the datum.
2. Click Modify | <datum> tabDatum panel (Propagate Extents).
3. In the Propagate Datum Extents dialog, select the parallel views in which you want the datum to look the same, and click OK.

There is no permanent connection between the look of the datum in multiple views. If you modify the datum again, you must use Propagate Extents again. Propagate Extents does not affect Model (3D) extents.

Note: The 2d extents of a datum cannot be propagated either to or from a view when the 3d extents of the datum are outside the active crop region of the view.
