There are several considerations to determine if the 3 GB feature is an option for you.
- The 3 GB feature is supported only on Windows® 7 on 32-bit machines.
- When the 3 GB feature is enabled, your operating system has less memory space. Its implications on Windows are not clear, so be cautious with regard to the total application load placed on Windows while running in this mode. If you do not require the larger address space, do not enable this option.
