Reinforcement of Beams - launched from Autodesk® Revit®.

Parameters of the section geometry defined in the dialog include:

• Identification parameters (family and type) of a beam loaded from an Autodesk® Revit® model
• Geometrical parameters, including number of beam spans, dimensions of the cross-section, and length of the beam span
• Element parameters, including number of beams, position of the beam in the structure (level, offsets).

Additionally, Reinforcement of beams automatically recognizes a type of supports on beam ends.

If the Save data without reinforcement generation option is cleared, the reinforcing bars are generated and displayed in Autodesk® Revit®. If this option is selected, the reinforcement data is generated (and can be used after restarting the Extension), but reinforcing bars cannot be displayed in Autodesk® Revit®.

Parameters of the section geometry defined in the dialog:

• name of an RC structure element (beam)
• beam dimensions: number of beam spans, dimensions of the cross-section and length of the beam span

Additionally, a type of supports on beam ends is recognized.

Reinforcement of Beams - launched from Autodesk® AutoCAD® Structural Detailing 2015 - Reinforcement.

Specify the following data in the upper part of the dialog:

• Name of an RC beam
• Number of defined beams; this number affects the steel table
• Type of the beam cross-section; you can select the following cross-section shapes:

  rectangular

  T-section

• Support type for both ends of the beam spans:

  

• Parameters for the beam spans:
  • Number of spans
  • Lengths of individual spans
  • Widths of supports for individual spans.

If you select the Add element option, while generating reinforcement for the beam, reinforcing bars are grouped in an element; a name of this element (specified in the Element name field) is added on the Model tab in the Object Inspector dialog in Autodesk® AutoCAD® Structural Detailing 2015 - Reinforcement.

After the beam geometry is defined, specify values of dimensions for the beam-cross-section and spans.
