Dialog elements
- Section parameters (tension)
-
- Anet/Agross Ratio
- Specifies the coefficient which applies to a tensile force acting on the cable.
- This coefficient defines the relationship of the member cross-section area, not considering the bolt or rivet openings (Anet), to the total cross-section area (Agross).
- Shear lag factor U
- Determines the effective area Ae of a tension member according to Section D3; values of the U parameter are given in Table D3.1.
Note: For the ANSI/AISC 360-05 code, the effective area Ae of a tension member is determined according to Section D3.3.
- Additional conditions for round pipes
- Use this option to perform calculations on members that have a round section bent biaxially.
- Select Pipes - Unidirectional bending to use the vector sum of the moments My and Mz as a resultant moment, in order to treat the member as unidirectionally bent.
