Prepare the analysis

Once your model is ready and all loads have been applied, you can set up the analysis parameters.

  1. Create a manual or automatic load case combination. For example, typical load case combinations include ultimate (ULS), serviceability (SLS), and accidental load cases.
  2. Select a type of analysis. By default, all load cases are set for a static-linear analysis. You can change the analysis type to buckling analysis, harmonic analysis or time history analysis. Alternatively, you can create new load cases and perform calculations for analysis types which do not require a predefined static load case, such as the modal or seismic analyses.
