Project Octopus software is a tool which gives you access to data and results saved in a Autodesk® Robot™ Structural Analysis Professional.
This tool allows, with simple formulas available in Microsoft® Excel®, to obtain information about a structure model defined in your project.
Using this tool in an easy and quick way, you can get different types of information about your model. For example, you can get values of forces for all bars, values of nodal displacements, or obtain information concerning section properties. In addition, using formulas and Microsoft Excel tools you can create a data table for structural elements from the project and display these data as line graphs, histograms, and charts.
You can become familiar with Project Octopus by using examples attached with the software. After the installation is complete, you can find them in the following location: C:/ProgramData/Autodesk/Examples/Project Octopus/RSA. Open both the RSA_FORMULAS.rtd and RSA_FORMULAS.xlsx files.
Before using Project Octopus, check that your installation meets all the requirements for the tools that you want to use.
