Reinforcement import

After you have calculated reinforcement of an RC structure element in Robot, the reinforcement can be transferred to Revit.

To transfer the reinforcement calculated in Robot to Revit:

• Select an element(s) to which the reinforcement will be transferred
• Launch the Extension from the Analyze tab on the ribbon by selecting the Analysis & Code Check panel > Reinforcement Code Check. In the Reinforcement design dialog, select Import reinforcement from Robot Structural Analysis under the Operation type.
• Select the appropriate Scope of reinforcement import option.
  Note: You can select elements in Robot or in Revit. The import operation can also be performed without selecting elements: for all Robot RC projects.
• Click OK.

All parameters of reinforcing steel are transferred to Revit from Robot.

Note: If in Robot changes in geometry of an RC structure element have been made (e.g. a change of the cross-section dimensions), they are NOT transferred to Revit.

Note: If there is reinforcement in an RC structure element (e.g. reinforcement imported from Robot), and next, reinforcement is generated by means of one of Revit Extensions for Revit (e.g. Reinforcement of beams, Reinforcement of columns), then the reinforcement imported from Robot will be overwritten by the reinforcement generated by means of one of Revit Extensions for Revit.
