Display, Close, or Customize the Navigation Bar

To display the Navigation Bar:

If the Navigation Bar is not visible, click Options Graphics Navigation Tools Show Navigation Bar.

Note: The Close button (X) is located at the top-right corner, and the Customize drop-down arrow is located on the bottom right corner of the Navigation Bar, as shown in the following image.

    To reposition the Navigation Bar:

  1. Click the Customize button at the bottom right corner of the Navigation Bar.
  2. Access the Docking positions fly-out menu and choose an available docking position—Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, or Bottom Right.

    When Link to ViewCube is checked, both the Navigation Bar and ViewCube are repositioned together around the current window. When the ViewCube is not displayed, the Navigation Bar is docked in the same location in which the ViewCube would be if visible.

    To link the position of the Navigation Bar to ViewCube (or unlink it):

  1. On the Navigation Bar, click Customize.
  2. Access the Docking positions fly-out menu and activate or deactivate the Link to ViewCube option.

    When Link to ViewCube is checked, both the Navigation Bar and ViewCube are repositioned together around the current window.

    To freely reposition the Navigation Bar along the edge of the current window:

  1. On the Navigation Bar, click Customize.
  2. Access the Docking positions fly-out menu and ensure that the Link to ViewCube option is deactivated.

    The grip handle for moving the Navigation Bar is displayed along its top edge.

  3. Click the grip handle, drag the Navigation Bar along the edge of the window to where you want it displayed, and release the mouse button.

    Dragging the Navigation Bar to the top or bottom of the window orients it horizontally, dragging it to the left or right side of the window orients it vertically.

    To adjust the opacity of the Navigation Bar:

  1. On the Navigation Bar, click Customize.
  2. Access either the Inactive opacity or the Active opacity fly-out menu
  3. Choose the desired transparency— 0, 25, 50, 75, or 100%.
Note: The 0% opacity option is only available for the inactive Navigation Bar state.
