| Automatic Connection and Containment Method | Specifies the method to use for establishing automatic connection and containment relationships between features. GeometricSnapping requires you to snap to the target feature. GeometricProximity enables you to click a point within a specified distance. The method and tolerances apply to the connections and containments established during tapping as well. |

As you snap point features to line features, the connection threshold value lets you connect to a line endpoint even if you snap a short distance away from the endpoint. This is helpful for visualization if you are snapping several devices to the endpoint of a line. . |
