AUDLINEFEATURE

Adds a conductor, a duct, or a collection of conductors and ducts along a pathway defined by a segment feature. Also, adds a conductor, duct, or a collection of conductors and ducts to a previously created run (segment) of conductors/ducts.

A segment is a structural feature roughly equivalent to a trench for underground networks or a pathway for overhead networks. Segments are used by the application and are not added to the material list.

Attributes

Specifies attribute values for the segment.

Features

Inserts a duct or conductor in the segment. You can nest ducts within ducts and add conductors to the ducts. As you add features to the segment, you are presented with the attribute list for each contained feature. Use the text at the top of the dialog box as a guide for which feature's attributes you are editing. Click Back to move up through the nested features to the top level which is the segment.

Service

Inserts a load-carrying service point at the end of the inserted line. Use the attribute list to define attributes for the service line and point.

Pole

If you specify Overhead Run for the Model Name attribute of the segment, pole features are created along with the line according to the Max Span setting. Use the Pole attribute list to define pole attributes. Click Back when finished specifying pole attributes. Use the Structure option to add structures to the pole. Use the Device option to add devices to the pole. Click Exit when finished defining poles.

Structure

If you set MaxSpan to insert a structure automatically when the MaxSpan distance is reached, the Structure option specifies the type of structure to insert.

MaxSpan

Sets the maximum span distance between structures when a new overhead or underground segment is created.

A structure is added at every point you click. If the gap between any new structures exceeds MaxSpan, structures are evenly inserted to divide the span as necessary so MaxSpan is not exceeded.

Installation

Specifies Overhead or Underground installation.

Note:

To use defaults from the Underground Design and Overhead Design default settings panels, you must specify Overhead or Underground as appropriate.

LineType

Specifies Primary, Seconday, Service, or Neutral.

Note:

To use defaults for Pole, Pole Head, or Conductor, you must specify Neutral, Primary, Secondary, or Service.

DigitizeMethod

Specifies whether to create a new design feature or convert existing geometry to a design feature (and either keep or replace the source geometry).
