To Modify Containment

As you add features to container features, the containment relationship is established automatically. Use the Containment icon (the blue dot) as an indicator that the new feature will be contained by an existing feature. Toggle the icon to specify containment or no containment. For options related to containment, see To Specify Application Options .

You can later remove features from containers or add features to containers using Quick Info or the Feature Info palette on the Dashboard.

  1. Click Home tabPalettes panelDashboardFeature Info.
  2. In the canvas, select the features of interest.

    For example, to add a transformer to a pad, select both the transformer and the pad.

  3. Do either of the following operations:
    • To remove a feature from a container, select the contained feature in the feature list and click .

    • To add a feature to a container, select the container feature in the feature list. Click .

      For the feature to add, click the blue dot.

      Note:

      Available features must be within the containment threshold specified in Utility Design Options. For more information, see To Specify Application Options .
