Control how rows are displayed in the BOM view of an Item Record to better suit your work environment.
Note: The BOM can only be edited when it is in the multi-level view.
View BOM Details
- In the Item Master, double-click on an item to open the item record.
- Select the Bill of Materials tab.
The Bill of Material for the selected item is listed.
Note: To edit a Bill of Materials, you must click Edit on the Item Record toolbar.
- You can choose to view the BOM either by date or revision:
- View BOM by Revision–Select a revision from the revision drop-down. The date the revision was last used prior to being superceded by a newer revision is displayed in the date drop-down.
Note: Depending on the current item state, not all items may be displayed. Items in the Obsolete state only display the latest revision.
Revision Settings
- View By Date (Vault 2015 R2)–Select a Date from the Date-Picker drop-down. You can select a date all the way back to the item's creation date.
Note: Changes to the Date-Picker do not affect the displayed BOM if the Latest is selected.
- View by Date (Vault 2015 Only)–Select a date from the Date drop-down. The last date before a later revision was released is now displayed in the date drop-down. Change this date to reflect the released child item revisions for that specific date. The date selected must be on or after the date that the revision was released. The selected child revision BOM is displayed as of the selected date.
Note: Changes to the date drop-down do not affect the displayed BOM if the Latest is selected.
Note: You cannot edit information for previous revisions.
Items in the Obsolete state display the previous revisions and the latest.
