On the Section tab of the Continuous footing: definition dialog, you can define parameters of a continuous footing cross-section.
Specify parameters for each type of continuous footing cross-section:
- Name - click the Browse (...) button and make a selection in the Section list dialog
- Material
- Definition axis
center line 
upper line 
lower line 
- Offset
- when defining the continuous footing by means of the outer or inner line, you can specify an offset from the definition line. If the offset equals 0, the definition line coincides with the upper or lower line. See also: How to define a continuous footing if the offset differs from zero
- Angle - select an available value (0, 45, 90, 135, or 180) or enter a different value for the angle of rotation of the continuous footing cross-section. The definition of this angle refers to the current (local) coordinate system. If you are defining a continuous footing that lies on an inclined plane, you can select the World UCS (shown below) to define the orientation of the continuous footing cross-section with respect to the global coordinate system.
Note: Global UW option (see the drawing below) is also available in case of definition of continuous footing located on slant plane.
