Ground Beam - Stirrups

After defining the dimensions for the transversal reinforcement in a ground beam, click Next. The following dialog displays:

The following parameters are available:

For the first ground beam type (the type is selected on the Ground Beam - Geometry tab), you can select the Anti-shrinkage reinforcement option. If this option is selected, then, while generating the transversal reinforcement, anti-shrinkage reinforcement is created and placed at the middle of the beam section (two longitudinal bars + pins are generated and the spacing is the same as it is for stirrups).

Options in the lower part of the dialog are used to specify parameters of stirrup distribution over the span length. The following methods of stirrup distribution in the span are available (similarly as for the distribution of stirrups in the RC beam):

Additionally, it is possible to define a stirrup spacing near the supports for the outermost supports of a beam.

After defining the transversal reinforcement (stirrups) parameters and clicking Next, the Ground Beam - Reinforcement dialog displays.

Note: The contents of the dialog depend on the ground beam type selected.
