Create a new insulating material (EC3)
If you are verifying members according to Eurocode 3 (EC3), you can create new insulating materials.
Ensure that
Steel/Aluminium Design
is selected in the list of layouts.
Click
Parameters
in the Definitions dialog.
The Member Definition - Parameters dialog displays.
Note:
Alternatively, click
Design
Steel Members Design - Options
Code parameters
to open the Member Type dialog, and then click
.
Select
Fire analysis parameters
in the Member Definition - Parameters dialog, and then click
Fire
to open the fire resistance parameters dialog.
In the Basic parameters group, select
Protected
from the
Steel member protection
list.
Click
New material
.
The New insulating materials dialog displays.
Select a group of materials from the list, or enter a new one.
Select a material from the list, or enter a new one.
Specify the required parameters for the material, and then click
Add to database
to save the new corrugated sheet to the database.
Tip:
To update the properties of the selected material, modify its parameters, and then click
Add to database
.
You can also use the New insulating materials dialog to delete insulating materials from the database:
Select the group of materials from which the material belongs to.
Select the material.
Click
Delete from database
