Exercise 1: Locate a Feature Using Forms

Use feature class forms to find a specific feature and zoom into it in the map.

If you are connected to the Internet, play the video to see how to use a feature class form to find a transformer. You can also click "Let Me Try" to try it yourself. The steps for this procedure are listed below the video.

To locate a feature using a feature class form

1. In the Industry Model Explorer, expand a folder to see its feature classes.
2. Right-click the feature class whose forms you want to see.
3. Click Show Form.
4. Use the arrow buttons in the lower left area of the form to page through the features in this feature class.
5. When you find the one you want, click Zoom To The Selected Feature .

   You can use the regular zoom commands, like Zoom Window, to zoom in even closer.
