Protecting libraries from unauthorised edits.
Access to libraries is restricted using a username/password that must be entered before a library file can be opened for editing. Only authorised users are allowed to open a file. There are three levels of access:
- None – you can list the data within the library but cannot access the details. This is the status of any libraries that have not been purchased.
- Read-Only – you can use the library files but cannot change them or add new data. All library files are initially opened Read-Only.
- Full Access – you can use, copy, edit or create new library files and add or edit the users.
All Autodesk Vehicle Tracking libraries are Read-Only.
Access to Library Objects in the Pool
Once in the Pool, library objects may be edited. Vehicle data that has been used to create a Vehicle Tracking swept path cannot be edited. Other library data that has been used to create Vehicle Tracking entities can be edited, though there may be access restrictions.
Note: If you make a copy of a library object within the same library file, the name of the copy is prefixed with the words ‘Copy of’ to distinguish it from the original object.
