Request Output to .fil File

In the steps that follow we will request output of the reaction force and displacement for the Load_Node to the Abaqus .fil file. This will allow us to monitor the load response of the coupon while the analysis is running. As we will see later in the tutorial, monitoring the load response while the analysis is running, will let us dynamically control when the analysis is terminated, potentially saving lots of runtime.

1. Select Model > Edit Keywords > Model-1 from the main toolbar.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the Edit keywords dialog. You should see the following lines:

3. Set your cursor after the final ** shown above and click Add After.
4. Add the following lines and click OK:
