This tutorial provides step-by-step instructions to create and analyze a composite beam. The beam is loaded to simulate a 3-point bending test. The beam structure uses composite plies with cohesive layers separating the zero and ninety degree ply orientation groupings.
A half-symmetry model will be built and simulated. The composite plies are modeled using SOLID185 elements. Cohesive layers are modeled using INTER205 elements.
