If a cut view is manually deleted and a new one is created, the number of the deleted cut view can automatically be reused, in order to have no gap in the cut view numbering. This command can be used only on individually opened drawings.
To access the command
Ribbon: Labels & Dimensions > Parametric views: 
Command line: _AstM9CommDetRenumberCuts
To use the command
Suppose there are three cuts on an assembly drawing: A-A, B-B and C-C.
- Delete the cut B-B.
- On the
Labels & Dimensions
tab,
Parametric views
panel: click .
- Select the Cut C-C.
The view is renamed with A-A.
