Create a corner finish

This tool creates the following types of corner processing by selecting a corner:

Chamfer
Convex corner finish
Concave corner finish

To access the command

Features tool palette:

Command line: _AstM14CreateCornerFeat

To create a chamfer

1. Features tool palette: Click .
2. Select a plate to process near the corner to cut.
   • The corner processing is created at the selected corner with a default size and shape. It is represented with a green contour processing. The properties dialog box appears.
3. In the properties dialog box, from the Type drop-down list, select Straight .
4. You can change the size of the corner processing.

To create a convex fillet

1. Features tool palette: Click .
2. Select a plate to process near the corner to cut.
   • The corner processing is created at the selected corner with a default size and shape. It is represented with a green contour processing. The properties dialog box appears.
3. In the properties dialog box, from the Type drop-down list, select Convex .
4. In the Radius field enter the desired value to define the size of the corner processing.

To create a concave fillet

1. Features tool palette: Click .
2. Select a plate to process near the corner to cut.
3. The corner processing is created at the selected corner with a default size and shape. It is represented with a green contour processing. The properties dialog box appears.
4. In the properties dialog box, from the Type drop-down list, select Concave .
5. In the Radius field enter the desired value to define the size of the corner processing.
