Moment Connection Improvements

The Moment Connection, Moment Flange Plate and Moment Flange T joint properties windows now contain new options:

You can assign gaps to the stiffener edges that meet the column flanges and to the stiffener edge that meets the column web. Depending on the stiffener type (full, half, ¾, value), you can apply the flange gap on one or both stiffener edges that meet the column flanges.

Note: Additionally, the behavior of the stiffeners using the ¾ length has been improved, so that the length is kept when changing the flange gap dimension, for all joints that have this option (the already mentioned joints and others such as Stiffener).

The weld preparation for the 3 stiffener edges that "touch" the column can use various types of cuts: straight, concave, convex. You can modify the geometric parameters of each type as needed.

The new chamfer type allows you to apply a combination between types "straight" and "concave" with geometric parameters that you can modify as you need.

The weld preparation for all 4 edges of the web doubler can use various types of cuts: straight, concave, convex. You can modify the geometric parameters of each type as needed.

Note: Like all the other properties of elements created by the joint, these new ones are also transferred when you use joint copy commands in a model.
