New weld definition properties

New properties for welds were added and are available in the welds properties dialog:

Weld Main tab:

• Weld length – value field, per default is empty
• Pitch – value field, per default is empty
• Weld text - value field, per default is empty
• Root opening - value field, per default is empty
• Preparation depth - value field, per default is empty
• Prefix - value field, per default is empty

Weld Double tab:

• Weld text - value field, per default is empty
• Root opening - value field, per default is empty
• Effective throat - value field, per default is empty
• Preparation depth - value field, per default is empty

New weld template configuration (details) : The weld template is located in the Symbols folder, under the name WeldTemplate.dwg.

Settings you can configure (see image):

• Leader: arrow, color, line type, line weight (1)
• Symbols (weld all around, site symbol, weld type, weld shape, weld preparation): color, design, position (2, 7)

Note: The symbols (2, 7) are correlated with layer names. Saving the symbol on a certain layer changes the design of the symbol. For welds these layer names are located in AstorBase.mdb > WeldType table - for enabling the welds in welds dialog also or in Management Tools > Table Editor > AstorBase > WeldType .

• Main weld attribute text: displaying which weld information you want from the table below (left column), text color, text style, text position (3, 4)
• Double weld attribute text: displaying which weld information you want from the table below (right column), text color, text style, text position (5, 6)
• Additional text information: color, text style (8)

Note: the weld text information placed in attributes shows the configured token if the information also exists in the weld dialog. Removing one of the tokens from attribute will also remove the information from the weld label, even if it's set in the weld dialog.

Note: for ISO standards we have a template with orientation line which is installed with English_International version of AS and you can choose from Management Tool from: Defaults > Drawing-General > General > Default weld template file name : WeldTemplate.dwg or WeldTemplateOrientationLine.dwg.

Grip point on weld leader line:

• Grip point on leader line for better rearranging the label.

• Check box for breaking the line in weld properties dialog.
