Install the tutorial courseware files

When you install Alias, the courseware files (Alias wire files and other support files used in the tutorials) are not installed automatically.

To install the courseware files for use with Alias on Windows

1. Download the courseware files from the Autodesk Alias Products Services & Support Help page.
2. Double-click the Autodesk Alias 2014 CourseWare executable file.
3. By default, the CourseWare files are installed to c:\temp. To install to a different location, enter that location in the Destination folder field, or click Browse and select it.
4. Click Extract.
5. Move the extracted CourseWare folder to your user_data folder:

   C:\Documents and Settings\[userid]\My Documents\Autodesk\Alias\user_data
   

   If your user_data folder is in a different location, enter that location in the Destination folder field, or click Browse and select it.

   You need write permissions to the folder in which you plan to install the courseware files.

To install the courseware files for use with Alias on Mac OS X

1. Download the courseware files from the Autodesk Alias Products Services & Support Help page.
2. Double-click the Autodesk Alias 2014 CourseWare executable file.
3. Double-click the disk (.dmg) file.
4. Drag the folder from the disk file to the following directory:

   /Documents/Autodesk/Alias/user_data
   

   If your user_data folder is in a different location, move the CourseWare folder to that location.

   You need write permissions to the folder in which you plan to install the courseware files.
