To Set Syntax Coloring for the Console and Text Editor Windows (Visual LISP IDE)

Visual LISP utilizes syntax coloring to help you identify code elements.

Note: The Visual LISP IDE is available on Windows only.

Change the default colors

  1. In Visual LISP, click Tools Window Attributes Configure Current.
  2. In the Window Attributes dialog box, select an item from the Elements drop-down list that represents the element whose color coding you want to change.

A preview of the text is displayed just above the color swatches, and the color swatches are also updated to reflect the current foreground and background colors of the selected item.

  3. Click a color from the top row of color swatches to set the foreground color to be applied to the element, or click Transparent FG to not use a foreground color.
  4. Click a color from the bottom row of color swatches to set the background color to be applied to the element, or click Transparent BG to not use a background color.
  5. Click OK.

Set the color coding for file types other than AutoLISP

  1. In Visual LISP, create or open a file type other than AutoLISP.
  2. Click Tools Window Attributes Syntax Coloring.
  3. In the Color Style dialog box, select the type of color coding to apply for the file type open in the current text editor window.
