The Visual LISP IDE allows you to create, open, and save source code files. 
Note: The Visual LISP IDE is available on Windows only. 
 Create a new file
-  In Visual LISP, click File 
 New File. 
 An empty text editor window is created. 
  
 
 Open an existing file
- In Visual LISP, click File 
 Open File.  
- In the Open File to Edit/View dialog box, Files of Type drop-down list, select the type of file to open. 
 
- Browse to and select the file to open. Click Open. 
 
Save a file
- In Visual LISP, click File 
 Save As. Note: If the file was previously saved, click File 

 Save. 
 
  
- In the Save-as dialog box, File Name box, enter a name for the file to save. 
 
- Click the Save As Type drop-down list and select the type of file to save. 
 
- Browse to the folder where you want to store the file. Click Save.
