- On the network computer containing the folder you want to watch, start Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder that you want to add.
- Right-click the folder and select Properties.
- Click the Sharing tab and verify that the folder is set to Shared. Click OK to close the Properties dialog box.
- Open the Content Service Configuration Console.
- If there is not one already, type a name into the Display Name box.
This name will be displayed when selecting a content provider in Content Explorer.
- Click Add Watched Folder.
- In the Select Watched Folder dialog box, select the folder you shared in step 3 and click OK.
The Edit Watched Folder dialog box opens.
- Under Access, select Public.
- In the Select Shared Folder dialog box that opens, select the shared folder again and click OK.
- Click OK to close the Edit Watched Folder dialog box.
The public watched folder can now be accessed by other Content Explorer users that connect to this Content Service.
- To remove a folder from the watched list, right-click the folder and select Remove.
- To refresh the watched folders list at any time, click Refresh.
Note: This procedure refers to a folder on a network computer running Autodesk Content Service. You can accomplish the same thing with a local folder using the Content Explorer Configuration Console, so that other Content Explorer users on your network can search your folder.
