You can borrow a license from your network to use for a limited time on an offline computer.
Borrowed licenses are automatically returned to the license server at the end of the day on a specified return date. Licenses can be returned early.
You can further manage borrowing by setting parameters in an options file. You can specify the following in an options file:
- The maximum number of licenses that can be borrowed from your network at one time.
- The default borrowing period. (If you don't specify this parameter in the options file, the default borrowing period is six months. Usually, you don't want to keep a license out of circulation for such a long period.)
- The users who are eligible to borrow a product license.
Note: To see when the borrowing period for a license expires, go to Help

About. The expiration date appears in the Product License Information dialog. In some products, you can also place the cursor over the Borrowing icon in the status tray (on the lower right corner of the screen).
