Thess sub-reports apply to various report types, including body, chassis, loads, etc. Each report type can have different settings for its Envelope, Offset Envelope 1, and Offset Envelope 2 sub-reports.
After selecting Show Envelope to display an envelope of the movement of the vehicle or an offset envelope, you can select from among the available features.
- For offset envelopes only, you can specify the Offset From Actual Envelope distance to show a clearance or safety envelope around the static envelope.
- Close Envelope joins the left and right boundaries at the front and the back.
- Hatch Envelope fills the envelope with hatch lines of the same type as the envelope itself.
- Hatch Spacing defaults to a value appropriate to the size of the vehicle; large vehicles such as aircraft have a wider spacing than smaller vehicles such as cars.
- Hatch Colour Factor can be set to change the relationship between hatch color and envelope color. A value of 100 represents 100% of the envelope color, that is, the same color as the envelope. By default, if the envelope color is bright green the hatch color is dark green.
- Hatch Angle can be set to adjust the appearance of the hatching, and allow overlaid hatched areas to be visible.
- Cross Hatch In Reverse hatches the envelope for reverse sections of the path in the opposite direction to the forwards sections.
- Layer selection cannot be used if you are using a layering convention. Otherwise, you can select from the existing layers or specify a new layer for the report.
- Line Type and Color controls provide a wide range of selections. If you want a Color other than the 255 listed, select Custom and click on the colour swatch to select from a color chart.
AutoCAD Only
The pen numbers directly correlate with AutoCAD's pen numbering system (color indices in later versions). If you select a custom color that does not correspond to a defined pen color, it will be treated as TrueColor.
- For Line Weight, 0.0 mm is the default, and forces the thinnest possible line. Wider lines are drawn symmetrically about the centerline.
Note: Variations in line weight are only visible on printed output or in a print preview.
- Fill provides a solid fill for the envelope.
