This report tests for the visibility of an object vehicle identical to the subject vehicle.
Use the Sightlines tab to configure the lines from the subject vehicle to the object vehicle as follows:
- Viewpoint in the subject vehicle, either Center Of Front Axle or Driver.
- Sightlines Target location on the object vehicle, either Center of Body or the front Corners of Vehicle.
- The Side Offset Distance can be added to either side of the target point(s).
- The sightline distance can be either a Fixed Sightline Distance or a Stopping Distance Based On Vehicle Speed. If you select Fixed Sightline Distance, you can specify forward and reverse distances. If you select Stopping Distance Based On Vehicle Speed, you must specify the Driver Reaction Time and Rate Of Deceleration.
Use the Discrete and/or Spaced tabs to specify where to display the sightlines along the path, and also the sightline Attributes, such as Color and Line Type.
