Use this procedure to modify a tool that is stored in a tool catalog.
When you begin this procedure, both the AutoCAD Civil 3D tool palette set and the Content Browser window should be visible, so that you can drag items between them.
- In the Content Browser, open the tool catalog that contains the tool to customize. If the tool is located in a specific category of the catalog, open that category.
- Move the pointer over the i-drop icon on the tool you want, so that the pointer image changes to an eyedropper (
).
- Click the eyedropper and drag it to a palette in the tool palette set.
- Right-click the copy of the tool in the tool palette set, and click Properties.
- Make any property changes, and click OK.
- Drag the tool from the tool palette set back to its original location in the Content Browser.
Tip:
Right-click the title bar of the Content Browser, and select Always on Top before dragging the tool to the Content Browser.
- When prompted to confirm catalog item replacement, click Yes.
