To accommodate the large number of parts available and custom parts that may be in use, AutoCAD Civil 3D employs a strategy for dealing with how parts should be represented (or matched) for use in Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis.
Decide upon your part matching strategy | Review how to set up the settings and optional XML part mapping file to control how parts are round-tripped between AutoCAD Civil 3D and Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis. |
Set up the Pipe Network Feature Settings according to your part matching strategy | These settings assist in controlling part matching when moving data between AutoCAD Civil 3D and Storm and Sanitary Analysis. |
Specify the Inlet settings | For the structure(s) associated with the catchment, specify the Inlet Location in the Structure Properties. |
Run the Edit in Storm and Sanitary Analysis command |
Select the pipe networks that are associated with the catchments you want to export. |
