Projected AutoCAD Civil 3D objects use standard style editing dialog boxes for points, feature lines, and survey figures. Projected AutoCAD objects use multipurpose styles that control the appearance of different object types in profile views and section views.
To edit styles for projected objects in profile view
- In the drawing window, in a profile view or section view, select the object for which to change the style. Right-click. Click the menu option for the object type: Edit Point Style, Edit Feature Line Style, Edit Survey Figure Style, or Edit Projection Style.
OR
In the Toolspace Settings tree, expand GeneralMultipurpose StylesProjection Styles. Right-click the style you want to change. Click Edit.
Note: Multipurpose Projection Styles are used for AutoCAD objects. Each projection style includes settings for all types of AutoCAD objects that can be projected. Ensure that you have the correct object selected in the drop-down list when you are making the edits to the style.
- In the Projection Styles dialog box, make changes as required.
To control how projected AutoCAD solids are displayed in profile view
- In the Toolspace Settings tree, expand General Multipurpose Styles Projection Styles.
- Right-click a projection style and click Edit.
- On the Profile tab, select AutoCAD Solids.
- Select the As Drawn option.
- Select the Section check box.
By selecting the Section check box in the projection style, the projected solid is drawn so that it represents the actual position of where the alignment crosses the solid. If you clear this check box, the projected solid is drawn as if the alignment crosses the centroid of the solid, regardless of the actual position of where the alignment crosses the solid.
- Save the projection style and apply it to the AutoCAD solids you project to profiles.
