You can create a point given a vertical distance, with respect to the current centerline, height of instrument, and prism height.
The elevation is computed by subtracting the prism height from the instrument height, then algebraically adding the vertical distance.

Parameter | Definition |
---|---|
point | The identifier of the new point that you want to create. You do not need to assign a point number if auto point numbering is on. |
station | The station of the new point. |
offset | The perpendicular distance from the centerline to the new point. |
vertical distance | The elevation difference from the instrument to the prism. If the prism is higher than the instrument, then this is a positive value. |
