A Station is an area where a manufacturing process is applied to material or a component to generate a product.
To create a station using material flow:
- In the graphics window, select the shape making up the station. The station can include anything from a simple shape up to a detailed layout. A simple shape is recommended.
- On the Factory tab, click Station
in the Material Flow panel. -
Specify the station connector. We recommend a point nearest the center of the station so routing distances represent an average. The station is created and default properties assigned. To change the properties, open the Factory Properties palette and click on the Material Flow Object tab.
