Evaluation Versions vs. Complete Versions

About the evaluation version

What does it include?

Users during the evaluation phase have access to a fully featured version of HumanIK, including:

  • Pre-compiled libraries.
  • SDK header files.
  • Selected source code files.
  • Documentation.
  • Sample projects.
  • Standalone tools.

This material is distributed in several different packages for the different platforms supported by HumanIK.

How is its use protected?

The evaluation version is fully featured. However, your use of the product is controlled by a time-limited license key that expires at the end of your agreed-upon evaluation period.

You need a valid license key in order to create or load a HumanIK character.

About the complete version

Upon purchase, you will receive access to fully licensed packages on the Gameware support portal. The libraries contained in these full packages do not check the Gameware license key at all: they are unprotected in order to ensure that licensing issues will never cause your game to cease working after its release.

However, it is crucial that you replace your evaluation libraries of HumanIK with the libraries from the full package before you create the final build of your game. When your license key expires at the end of your evaluation period, any builds of your game that link against the evaluation versions of the HumanIK libraries will stop working.

Needless to say, the full version is intended for use only in your licensed project. You may not distribute it for use in other projects, or for any other projects that you develop, unless you receive specific authorization from Autodesk, Inc.
