About Searching Tool Library Folders

Inventor HSM allows your to quickly list all tools of interest using special search folders.

By selecting the All Tools search folder from the top of the Tool Library tree, all your tools from all libraries are presented in the tool list on the right side. If you choose any of the search folders below All Tools, the list is immediately updated to display only the tools matching the selected search folder.

For example: By selecting the By Type > Bull-nose Mill folder, only the bull-nose tools are shown.

To exclude the tools from certain libraries, you can suppress these libraries from filter and search results by unchecking the checkbox in front of the libraries.

Note: You can still view and select tools in suppressed libraries by selecting the library directly.

Excluding the tools from the Sample Libraries

When using the Search Folder function, you may want to open the corresponding library in which a given tool is stored. Simply right-click the tool and choose Locate in Library from the pop-up context menu.
