To Add a Tool Library Folder

By default, the Inventor HSM Tool Library contains two library folders: My Libraries which is automatically created in your operating system My Documents folder, and Libraries which is located in the Inventor HSM installation folder and contains the sample tool libraries shipped with the product.

If you wish to keep your tool libraries in a different folder on your PC, or on a network share, you can add additional library folders by right-clicking in the library tree and selecting Add Library Folder from the pop-up context menu.



Adding a library folder

You are then presented with a standard Browse for Folder dialog box that lets you select an existing folder or create a new one. After adding the folder, you can give the folder an appropriate name. In the image below, the new library folder has been renamed Tool Libraries on Server to indicate that the tool libraries reside on the server.

You can open the location of a library folder by right-clicking the folder and selecting Open in Windows Explorer from the pop-up context menu.
