Inventor HSM provides a unique way to drill conical faces such as countersinks. When you select a conical face, the drill depth is automatically adjusted so that the tool tip touches the end of the conical face.
Assuming that the tool tip angle matches the angle of the face, the face is machined to the exact finish.
Note: If you wish to drill to the bottom of the face only, you can set the depth manually or select the edge instead.
