Inventor HSM lets you export the tool tables from open documents to regular tool libraries. This can be very useful if you have set up a document tool table for your machine and want to reuse it in other documents.
To export a document tool table to a library file, do the following:
- Right-click the document and select Export from the pop-up context menu.

- Next, choose a location and name for the new library. If you export the library to one of your existing tool library folders, the new library is visible immediately.

Note: If you export to a different folder, then the library is not visible in the Tool Library dialog box until you add that folder in the library dialog. You can still import tools from the library using the Import Tools from Library option.
