Selects an assembly file and design view representation to use when creating a presentation view . You can also set a single tweak distance to create an exploded view automatically.

Assembly

Selects the assembly file and design view representation to use when creating a presentation view.

File

Specifies the assembly file to use for the presentation. Available only when placing the first view in the presentation. Specify the file name in one of the following ways:

  • Enter a file name in the box.
  • Click the arrow to select from the list of open files.
  • Click the drop-down arrow next to Explore. Select Explore to browse for a non-vaulted file. Select Open from Vault to browse for a file in the vault.
Options
Opens the File Open Options dialog box. Specifies a design view, positional, and level of detail representation.

Explosion Method

Auto Explode
Select to create the presentation view as an exploded view.
One Level
Automatically separates all selected components down to one level in the hierarchy. Selecting an assembly with a subassembly does not autoexplode the subassembly.
All Levels
Automatically separates all selected components down to all levels in component hierarchy. Selecting an assembly with a subassembly explodes the subassembly as well.
Distance
Specifies the tweak distance for each component when creating an exploded view. Enter the desired distance. Available only when Automatic is selected.
Default Trails
Specifies trails to be created.
  • None cancels creating trails.
  • All Components creates trails for all components included in the autoexplode selection.
  • All Parts creates trails for all parts included in the autoexplode selection, and excludes subassemblies.
  • Single creates a single trail for each tweak created by the Auto Explode command.
