Presentation Browser Reference

Access:

Available when a Presentation file (.ipn) is open.

Browser Views

Tweak View
Displays tweaks created in the current presentations view. Components included in a tweak are listed under the Tweak node. Hierarchy of the model is shown at the bottom.
Sequence View
Displays tasks created in the current presentations view. Tweak sequences that make up a task are listed under the Task node. Hierarchy of the model is shown at the bottom.
Assembly View
Displays the structure of the model. Tweaks that affect a component are listed under the component node.

Browser Icons and Right-Click Menu

Presentation

Selects the top node of a presentation file.

  • Open Drawing opens a drawing file with the same name as the component file, and saved in the same folder.
  • iProperties opens the Properties dialog box so you can view or set the properties of the presentation file.
Explosion

Selects a presentation view.

  • Copy copies the selected presentation view to another presentation file.
  • Create Drawing View creates a drawing, runs the Base View command, and populates the Drawing View dialog box with data from the selected presentation view.
  • Delete deletes the presentation view.
  • Activate opens an inactive presentation view, and displays it in the graphics window.
  • Representations opens the Representations dialog box. Sets associativity to the design view representation in the source model file, and changes the design view representation for the presentation view.
Assembly, Part

Selects a component, that means an assembly, subassembly, or part.

  • Open opens the component file.
  • Open Drawing opens a drawing file with the same name as the component file, and saved in the same folder.
  • Visibility sets visibility of the component.
  • Tweak Components starts the Tweak Component command so that you can move or rotate the selected component.
  • Delete Tweaks Last, All deletes the last tweak or all tweaks for the selected component.
  • Add Trail adds trails to the selected component. Click points at the selected component to specify end points for the new trails. Then right-click, and select Done to place the trails.
  • Hide Trails hides all trails for the selected component.
  • Auto Explode starts the Auto Explode command so that you can auto-explode the selected component. Available for assemblies and subassemblies only.
Translation, Rotation

Selects a translational or rotational tweak.

  • Delete deletes a tweak for a component.
  • Visibility sets the visibility for a tweak trail.
  • Edit edits a tweak for a component.
  • New Sequence creates a sequence and moves the tweak to the new sequence. Available only in the Sequence View.
Note: In the Tweak View, expand the Tweak node, and right-click a component to access the content menu for the component tweak.
Task, Sequence

Selects a task or sequence in the Sequence View.

  • Edit opens the Edit task and sequences dialog box to edit properties of a task and included sequences.
  • Group Sequences merges all tweaks included in the selected sequences to one sequence. Available when you select two or more sequences.
Camera Commands
The Camera commands are available for all items in the browser when the current camera position differs from the saved settings.
  • Restore Camera restores the original or last saved camera position.
  • Save Camera saves the current camera position.
