Deploy Local Help

To deploy Autodesk Inventor or LT Local Help as a part of an Inventor or LT deployment:

1. Download the Local Help from the following locations and save to a local drive.
   • Inventor: http://www.autodesk.com/inventor-2016-help-download
   • LT: http://www.autodesk.com/inventorlt-2016-help-download
2. Launch the Autodesk Inventor or LT installer and click Create Deployment.
3. Click through the Deployment wizard to the Configuration page.
4. On the Configuration page, scroll down to the settings for Help Documentation for Offline Use.
5. Select the Include Offline Help checkbox.
6. Browse to the location of the saved Local Help file to add the file to the deployment image.

When you install the deployment, the Local Help is installed respective to the location where the product is installed. For example, Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2015\ Local Help.

Note: Controlling access to the local and online Help:

By default if the local help is installed:

• The Local Help only launches when you are offline.
• If you are online, the online help from the Autodesk Knowledge Network displays, even if the local help is installed.

To change the default behavior: After you install the local help, you can switch between accessing the local Help and online Help any time. Control the default behavior using the Help Options in the Application Options dialog box - General tab.
